Pikt records; Pikt does not advise
Pikt presents what the site shows, with the source and timestamp attached. The judgement - to price, to bind, to settle - belongs to the professionals who carry the risk. Pikt never substitutes for it.
Construction insurance runs on a picture of the site that is almost always out of date. Modern sites, meanwhile, produce a continuous stream of reality - cameras, capture, sensors. Pikt reads what is already there and records it as evidence the industry can trust, so the gap closes.
I started as a construction broker in 2003 and have spent more than twenty years in the market since - including nearly a decade in Asia - leading broking and underwriting functions across construction, power, oil and gas and complex property.
The idea for Pikt began a few years ago with a specific problem: making large-scale mass timber construction insurable. Working through it, two things became obvious. The built environment was digitising at pace - cameras, sensors and progress systems on every serious site - and almost none of that record was reaching the people carrying the risk. Fleet insurance, through telematics, showed what changes when the asset starts reporting on itself. Construction sites are now producing that record too, and it is getting more plentiful and more accurate.
Pikt is the tool I wanted and couldn't buy: every site visible every day, from technology the project already runs, with the evidence intact. I want it built with the risk engineers who will use it - if that's you, I'd like to hear what you need it to do. [email protected] · LinkedIn
Risk engineers can only visit so often. Adjusters spend the first weeks of a claim reconstructing a past nobody recorded. Neither is a failure of skill - both are failures of information. The reality of the site exists; it just never reaches the people who carry the risk in time to matter.
Reality-Driven Intelligence is an open framework stewarded by Evercam and published at rdi.evercam.io. It is a methodology, not a product, and Pikt does not own it. Pikt is the insurance-specific application of it: start with reality, read it honestly, and keep the evidence intact at every step.

Pikt connects to a site only with the insured's explicit, scoped and revocable consent - recorded against the exact wording shown. Reality-driven does not mean surveillance.
The RDI framework is published openly. Pikt reads the tools a site already runs rather than forcing a stack on it, because trusted evidence shouldn't depend on who built the camera.
Priced against the fee you already run, capped and proportional to the project, so the same budget line covers more. Pikt would rather be obviously worth it on every programme than expensive on a few.
